Navigating Change Together: ABC’s Commitment to Accredited Facilities

Dec 19, 2025 | Meg Hayes

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced significant updates to the DMEPOS accreditation landscape that will take effect beginning January 1, 2026. These changes mark a shift toward increased oversight, including a move to annual surveys for DMEPOS suppliers.

While we navigate these uncharted waters, ABC is here to guide facilities evaluating a new accreditation organization, offering clarity, continuity, and a trusted path forward.

ABC remains fully committed to supporting our accredited facilities and is actively working with stakeholders to provide clear guidance, share best practices, and help facilities navigate these changes smoothly and confidently.

As CMS implements these updates to strengthen program integrity and quality, ABC will continue to focus on collaboration, education, and service—ensuring facilities have the resources and support they need to uphold the highest standards of patient care and compliance.

ABC looks forward to guiding and supporting facilities on the path forward throughout this transition and beyond.
