American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC)
ABC's mission is to establish and promote the highest standards of organizational and clinical performance in the delivery of orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic services. ABC advances the competency of providers, promotes the quality and effectiveness of orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic care, and maintains the integrity of the profession. ABC's certification and accreditation programs have the highest reputation nationally and internationally.
Amputee Coalition of America (ACA)
The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is a national, non-profit amputee consumer educational organization representing people who have experienced amputation or are born with limb differences. The ACA offers amputee education and support groups for amputees, professionals, family members and friends of amputees.
AMPOWER by Hanger Clinics
AMPOWER community is a free resource for individuals to connect and discuss a variety of topics related to the life of amputees.
Association of Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics (ACPOC)
ACPOC is recognized as the worldwide leader of multidisciplinary rehabilitative care of children, adolescents and young adults with orthopaedic impairments. ACPOC provides a comprehensive resource of treatment options provided by professionals who serve children, adolescents and young adults with various orthopaedic impairments.

Mobility Saves
A major new study commissioned by the Amputee Coalition and conducted by Dr. Allen Dobson, health economist and former director of the Office of Research at CMS (then the Health Care Financing Administration) shows that Medicare costs are lower or similar for patients who received orthotic or prosthetic services, compared to patients who need, but do not receive, these services.
