The following groups can provide valuable information in helping you adjust to limb loss, orthotic or prosthetic wear. You can also find information on participating in adapted sports activities, becoming involved as a volunteer and resources for additional information.

American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC)

The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics is the comprehensive credentialing organization whose mission is to establish and advocate for the highest patient care and organizational standards in the provision of safe and effective orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic services. Since its inception in 1948, ABC has become the quality standard in OP&P credentialing.

Amputee Coalition of America (ACA)
The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is a national, non-profit amputee consumer educational organization representing people who have experienced amputation or are born with limb differences. The ACA offers amputee education and support groups for amputees, professionals, family members and friends of amputees.
AMPOWER by Hanger Clinics
AMPOWER community is a free resource for individuals to connect and discuss a variety of topics related to the life of amputees.
Association of Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics (ACPOC)
ACPOC is recognized as the worldwide leader of multidisciplinary rehabilitative care of children, adolescents and young adults with orthopaedic impairments. ACPOC provides a comprehensive resource of treatment options provided by professionals who serve children, adolescents and young adults with various orthopaedic impairments.
Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
DAV's mission is to insure that the nation’s disabled veterans and their families are cared for through support and national legislation.
Move United
Move United uses sports to push what's possible so everyone, regardless of ability, has equal access to sports and recreation in their community. Established in 1956, Move United is proud to serve wounded warfighters, youth and adults with disabilities.

Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research (O&P Foundation)
