ABC recently completed a new Practice Analysis of ABC Certified Pedorthists in April. The Pedorthist Exam Committee and additional volunteer subject matter experts formed the panel that met to update the 2017 study. This report helps ABC to determine current trends in the contemporary practice of certified pedorthists. The results will be used to ensure that the pedorthist credentialing exam remains relevant for individuals entering the profession and determine the weighting of the exam’s content and provide a new test content outline, or blueprint.
In the coming year, new exam questions will be written as needed, and a new exam form will be created, approved and offered for the first time next February. At that time, a new passing score will be determined. The new Practice Analysis of ABC Certified Pedorthists will be on the ABC website later this year.
If you are an ABC Certified Pedorthist and would be interested in participating in the exam updates, please contact Molly Maguire at mmaguire@abcop.org
