Pedorthist Certification Requirement Change

Beginning January 1, 2026, all individuals applying for pedorthic certification must complete at least 50% of the required supervised patient care hours after completing their ABC-approved pedorthic pre-certification course.

The Deadline to Begin a First, Single-Discipline Residency Has Passed

As outlined in the newly updated NCOPE Residency Standards, November 30, 2025 was the last day to start a first, single-discipline residency.  If a resident begins a first single-discipline residency after December 1, 2025, there will not be sufficient time to complete both the first and second single-discipline residencies by the deadline of November 30, 2027.  All single-discipline residencies must be completed by November 30, 2027.
