The Affordable Care Act has introduced the concept of establishing Essential Health Benefits (EHB) that must be covered by new individual and small group health care plans beginning in 2014. ABC and the O&P Alliance have been fighting for inclusion of Rehabilitative Services and Devices (including orthotics and prosthetics) in the EHB package for several years. Many states are currently determining the contents of their EHB packages and we encourage you to help get this resource in the hands of those setting policy in your state. The following open letter is supported by over 50 national organizations including ABC and the entire O&P Alliance.
