The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC) has launched its newly designed and updated consumer website, OandPCare.org. The redesign was initiated to provide consumers with valuable information about the orthotic, prosthetic, and pedorthic profession, including helpful tips on how to choose a care provider and what to expect during the process of working with an orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic professional. The new contemporary look and feel also makes the site easier to navigate and more user friendly.
The website features an intuitive interface along with a detailed directory to locate care providers and facilities by state, city, zip code or expertise. Each provider category includes Frequently Asked Questions and Glossary sections giving consumers valuable information on what they can expect during their relationship with their orthotist, prosthetist, pedorthist, or other care team member.
ABC announced the new site at the 2010 Amputee Coalition of American Annual Conference in Irvine, Cal., on August 26. Check out the new site at www.oandpcare.org.
