The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (“ABC”) announced today that it has reached a settlement of its litigation against the Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification, Inc. (“BOC”) in regard to the protection of ABC’s “C.Ped.” certification mark for certified pedorthists.
The current litigation settled amicably, without any admission of liability by either party. The terms and conditions of the settlement are confidential. ABC’s Executive Director, Catherine Carter, announced that “In the future, ABC will continue to vigorously defend its trademarks and certification marks, including its “C.Ped.” mark.”
