ABC is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to the board of directors: Michael Brncick, CPO; Donald ‘Deane’ Doty, CPO; and Kristine Wilson, Ph.D.
Both Mr. Brncick and Mr. Doty arrive on the ABC board with extensive experience as ABC volunteers. As a director at Northwestern University’s Orthotic & Prosthetic program and a former NCOPE commissioner, Mr. Brncick will bring insight on O&P education to the board. Mr. Doty is the owner and practice manager of Active Life, Inc, an O&P facility headquartered in Albuquerque, NM, and has been active in ABC committees for over 20 years.
Joining the board as a Public Member is Dr. Kristi Wilson. In her professional life, Dr. Wilson is the Director of the Office for Small Business Programs at the US Department of Education in Washington, DC. An active above-the-knee amputee, Dr. Wilson finds the time to mentor local amputees and serve as an advocate for the disabled.
Earlier this summer, Cathy Carter, ABC’s executive director, joined the Board of Directors as a non-voting member. Ms. Carter, ABC’s former Certification Director, was promoted to Executive Director in August 2005.
Through this summer’s open nominating process, 14 individuals were submitted for consideration by the nominating committee and board of directors.
