Catherine Carter, ABC’s certification director since 1996, has accepted an appointment from the ABC board of directors to serve as the organization’s executive director.
For ABC President Bill DeToro, CO, FAAOP, the decision was easy.
“It is not often when an organization like ABC has the opportunity to elevate a department leader to the executive director position. We on the board of directors took the rare opportunity to do just that. Cathy has a proven track record. Over the years of service that she has given to ABC she has not only excelled as a leader but excelled in accomplishing the tasks at hand in an efficient and effective manner.”
As ABC’s interim executive director for the past 15 months, Ms. Carter is well prepared to assume the permanent role and responsibilities, including service as a non-voting member of the board of directors. Furthermore, ABC will hire a new certification director to allow Ms. Carter to fully focus on her new duties.
